Group Management Accountant

Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, PE-backed organisation based in South Manchester who are looking to appoint an experienced Group Management Accountant on a permanent basis.

Salary/benefits:
* Up to £60,000 per annum (DOE)

Job Duties:
* Prepare timely and accurate monthly management reports providing insight into financial performance.
* Analyse and explain variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods, highlighting key trends.
* Manage costs associated with operations and projects, performing cost analysis and variance reviews.
* Report project revenues, costs, and accruals, including monthly WIP and deferred revenue reviews.
* Take ownership of entity ledgers, ensuring accuracy of journal entries (accruals, prepayments, depreciation).
* Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain strong internal financial controls.
* Support audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
* Implement and improve financial processes and reporting systems to drive efficiency.
* Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and wider teams to align financial goals with business objectives.
* Assist in developing and maintaining accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Ideal experience:
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA).
* Proven experience in management accounting and financial analysis roles.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in reporting and analysis.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Confident communicator who can liaise effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
* Proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
* Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
