Group Management Accountant - £55,000 to £60,000
Location: Outskirts of Liverpool City Centre
Contract: Initially fixed-term, with potential to become permanent
Working Pattern: 4 days in the office / 1 day from home
A valued client is currently seeking an experienced Group Management Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with modern offices located on the outskirts of Liverpool City Centre. The position is being offered on a fixed-term basis initially, with the strong possibility of becoming a permanent role.
The successful candidate will take a lead role in producing management accounts and providing financial insight across a group of companies, working closely with senior stakeholders to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Preparation of monthly group management accounts, including consolidation of multiple entities
• 
  Analysis of variances, trends, and key performance indicators
• 
  Preparation and review of budgets and forecasts across the group
• 
  Supporting the month-end close process, including accruals, prepayments and journal postings
• 
  Business partnering with departmental heads to provide financial insight and support
• 
  Assisting with year-end audit and liaising with external auditors
• 
  Monitoring and improving internal controls and financial processes
• 
  Supporting ad hoc projects, including systems improvements and group reporting enhancements

Candidate Profile:

• 
  Ideally fully qualified (ACCA / CIMA / ACA), though qualified by experience candidates with relevant background will be considered
• 
  Previous experience in a group accounting or multi-entity environment is highly desirable
• 
  Strong Excel skills and familiarity with financial reporting tools
• 
  Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently across the business
• 
  A proactive and analytical approach, with a strong attention to detail
