Job Opportunity: Finance Business Partner - Manufacturing
Location: Outskirts of Liverpool City Centre (Hybrid - 3 days in the office)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum

A leading manufacturing organisation based on the outskirts of Liverpool City Centre is looking to appoint a commercially focused Finance Business Partner on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business at a key point in their growth journey, playing a central role in financial strategy and operational decision-making.
The role offers hybrid working (3 days in the office, 2 remote) and a salary of up to £55,000, along with the opportunity to embed yourself within a high-performing finance team that partners closely with production, supply chain, and operational leads.
Key Responsibilities:
As Finance Business Partner, you will act as the critical link between finance and operations, delivering insights that drive efficiency and profitability across the manufacturing function. Your key duties will include:
Partnering with operations, production, and supply chain teams to support strategic and operational decision-making
Monitoring and analysing manufacturing performance, including yield, waste, throughput, and downtime metrics
Conducting detailed product costing and margin analysis
Supporting the budgeting and forecasting process, with a focus on operational spend and production output
Tracking and reporting on KPIs such as labour efficiency, material usage, overhead absorption, and stock valuation
Investigating variances between standard and actual costs and recommending corrective actions
Assisting with inventory management and stock control reporting
Leading monthly performance review meetings with non-financial stakeholders
Supporting investment appraisals, capital expenditure analysis, and cost-saving initiatives
Ensuring financial controls are in place within the manufacturing environment and adhered to
Providing ad-hoc analysis and financial modelling to support continuous improvement projects
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Fully qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent)
Strong experience in a similar Finance Business Partner role within a manufacturing or industrial environment
Deep understanding of cost accounting, stock management, and standard costing
Commercially aware with the ability to influence non-finance stakeholders
Strong analytical mindset and confident in handling large datasets
Proficient in Excel and experience using ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
