Management Accountant / Finance Business Partner

£40,000 - £45,000 + study support

We're on the lookout for a talented Management Accountant who's confident with the numbers and enjoys working closely with the business to make a real impact. You'll bring solid management accounts experience and a knack for finance business partnering to our well-established, successful company here in Warrington. Reporting into senior management, you'll be part of an energetic, supportive team where ideas are welcomed, and no two days are quite the same. Key Responsibilities:

• Undertake commercial analysis of monthly management accounts for the division and engage in cost centre management.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts in line with the prescribed timetable.

• Produce, interpret, and analyse standard reports that accurately reflect a true and fair view of business performance.

• Act as the main point of contact for the depot network, providing insight and analysis to build relationships, drive efficiencies, and improve performance.

• Prepare month-end profit and loss accounts for review by the Finance Director.

• Complete month-end reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and investigate variances.

• Support the Finance Director in the budget and reforecast process.

• Assist in preparation for half-year and year-end external audits.

• Provide support to the Finance Manager, Finance Director, and wider team on ad-hoc and strategic projects.

• Ensure ongoing training and development to enhance role capabilities.

• Continuously review and improve processes and controls.

• Conduct pre- and post-month-end transaction reviews.

• Monitor trends in key areas, working with the Finance Director to identify and implement actions.
