Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing North Wales based specialist serves provider as they look to recruit a Payroll Manager into this newly created role.
This opportunity is ideal for an experienced and well rounded Payroll Manager seeking an opportunity within a diverse and fast paced organisation.
Salary
- £45-48,000pa
Job Duties:
- Payroll Processing
- Overseeing the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees
- Reviewing the posting of monthly payroll journals and control account reconciliations and Payment of PAYE
- Supporting with and reporting on the administration of pension contributions, auto-enrolment and communications.
- Overseeing holiday, absence and sick pay and statutory sick pay calculations and deductions.
- Ensure the team are supported with all Tax Year-End procedures are run including P60's.
- Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations, including tax withholding and reporting.
- Lead and manage the payroll department staff, providing training, guidance, and support.
- Tax Filing and Reporting
- Payroll Audits
- Prepare and generate payroll reports for management, finance, and accounting departments.
- Contribute towards the strategic direction of the organisation through regular engagement with senior stakeholders
- Continuously assess payroll processes and recommend improvements for efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.

Ideal experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- Previous experience within a supervisory payroll position
- Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or similar certification preferred.
- Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations, tax filings, and employee benefits.
- Familiarity with payroll software and Microsoft Excel.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with employees and management professionally.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve payroll issues and discrepancies.
- Ability to manage and mentor a team effectively.
