The Deputy Finance Director is a key part of the senior leadership team within a fantastic not-for profit organisation, driving financial strategy, efficiency, and compliance. Working as part of the senior leadership team this position oversees budgeting, reporting, and risk management, ensuring the organisation's long-term financial health. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and delivery of financial reports, budgets, and strategic forecasts.

  • Be the key contact with the Finance Director

  • Develop and implement innovative financial strategies to support the organisation's goals.

  • Ensure strong financial controls and effective risk management processes.

  • Provide strategic financial advice to senior leadership, driving informed decision-making.

  • Manage and develop a high-performing finance team, promoting a culture of success and accountability.

  • Identify and implement efficiency improvements

  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting standards.

  • Support long-term financial planning and analysis to position the organisation for future growth.

Skills and Experience:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.

  • Experience in a senior financial management role.

  • Proven leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.

  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • A results-driven approach with a focus on continuous improvement and innovation.
