An established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a qualified Management Accountant to join its senior leadership team. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, this is a hands-on role offering significant exposure to strategic decision-making while retaining responsibility for the day-to-day finance function. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving financial performance, strengthening controls, and supporting the continued growth of the business.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will take ownership of the Management Accounts, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while providing commercial insight to support operational and strategic decisions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Production of monthly management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow reporting.
- Leading month-end processes, balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
- Preparation of annual budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.
- Analysis of product profitability, manufacturing costs and gross margins.
- Ownership of stock accounting, inventory reporting and working capital management.
- Providing meaningful KPI reporting and commercial analysis to support business performance.
The Candidate
We are keen to speak with ambitious and commercially minded finance professionals who have experience of working with Manufacturing.
- Fully qualified accountant status (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) - essential.
- Previous Management Accounts experience within a manufacturing environment - essential.
- Strong management accounting, financial control and business partnering capability.
- Experience of stock accounting, standard costing and manufacturing variance analysis.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and support strategic business decisions.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring staff.
Excellent systems and Excel skills alongside a hands-on approach
