Financial Controller

Liverpool | Hybrid (2 Days Office) | £70,000 + Benefits | Fixed Term Contract to December 2027

A high-growth, market-leading organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to take ownership of a sizeable finance function during an exciting period of expansion, change and systems transformation.

This is far more than a traditional financial reporting role.
You'll lead a talented finance team, partner with senior stakeholders across the business, drive process improvements and play a key role in a major ERP transformation programme. The business operates across multiple entities and continues to evolve at pace, making this an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys building, improving and influencing.

What you'll be doing

• Leading and developing a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants
• Owning month-end close, reporting and financial control processes
• Ensuring balance sheet integrity and audit readiness
• Driving continuous improvement across finance processes and systems
• Supporting a significant finance transformation project, including ERP migration
• Partnering with senior leadership across a multi-entity operation

What we're looking for

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
• Proven Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager experience
• Strong technical accounting and controls background
• Experience leading and developing teams
• Comfortable operating in a fast-moving, constantly evolving environment
• Experience of systems implementations or finance transformation would be advantageous
