Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based financial services business who are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.
Based in Warrington, you will work a hybrid model.
This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available Management Accountant, looking for a role with full ownership of the management accounts process during a period of systems transformation and continued growth, with genuine potential to become permanent.
Salary/benefits:
- £50,000 - £60,000 (pro rata)
- Hybrid working model
- 35-37.5 hour working week - flexible working on offer
- Strong opportunity for temp-to-perm
Job Duties:
- Full ownership of the end-to-end production of monthly management accounts
- Lead on balance sheet reconciliations and ensure a robust financial control environment
- Partner with the Finance Director to deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting
- Play a key role in a finance system transformation, supporting process improvements and data integrity
- Produce detailed variance analysis with clear commentary for senior stakeholders
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
- Support regulatory and financial reporting requirements within a financial services environment
- Assist with year-end processes and audit queries
- Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting

Ideal experience:
- ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), Qualified by experience will be considered
- Proven experience owning the end-to-end management accounts process
- Experience within financial services or a regulated environment is advantageous
- Previous exposure to systems implementations or transformation projects
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse large data sets
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with senior leadership
- Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Continuous improvement mindset with a hands-on approach
