Accountable Recruitment are delighted to be partnering with a growing, UK-based financial services business who are seeking to appoint an experienced Management Accountant to join the team on an initial 6 month fixed term contract.

Based in Warrington, you will work a hybrid model.
This opportunity is ideal for an immediately available Management Accountant, looking for a role with full ownership of the management accounts process during a period of systems transformation and continued growth, with genuine potential to become permanent.

Salary/benefits:

• £50,000 - £60,000 (pro rata)
• Hybrid working model
• 35-37.5 hour working week - flexible working on offer
• Strong opportunity for temp-to-perm

Job Duties:

• Full ownership of the end-to-end production of monthly management accounts
• Lead on balance sheet reconciliations and ensure a robust financial control environment
• Partner with the Finance Director to deliver accurate and insightful financial reporting
• Play a key role in a finance system transformation, supporting process improvements and data integrity
• Produce detailed variance analysis with clear commentary for senior stakeholders
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Support regulatory and financial reporting requirements within a financial services environment
• Assist with year-end processes and audit queries
• Drive continuous improvement across finance processes and reporting

Ideal experience:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent), Qualified by experience will be considered
• Proven experience owning the end-to-end management accounts process
• Experience within financial services or a regulated environment is advantageous
• Previous exposure to systems implementations or transformation projects
• Strong Excel skills, with the ability to analyse large data sets
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with experience working closely with senior leadership
• Proactive, organised and able to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Continuous improvement mindset with a hands-on approach
