The Role

Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for providing high‑quality management accounting and operational financial support. The role has a strong costing and analysis focus and works closely with operational and technical teams both in the UK and internationally.

Key responsibilities include:

• Producing monthly management accounts, including cost reviews, accruals, prepayments and variance analysis against budget and forecast
• Preparing clear, concise commentary to explain financial performance and drivers
• Building strong working relationships with operational and technical stakeholders
• Supporting balance sheet integrity through ownership of reconciliations for accruals, prepayments and inventory
• Liaising with internal teams to ensure accurate recording and reporting of operational costs
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activity in collaboration with international finance teams
• Assisting with quarterly and year‑end reporting requirements
• Providing guidance and support to junior finance colleagues where required
• Authorising payment runs and handling ad‑hoc accounting queries
• Contributing to continuous improvement across operational finance processes

Some international travel may be required from time to time - adhoc

About You

This role would suit a proactive and detail‑focused Management Accountant who enjoys working close to operations.

You will likely bring:

• Newly qualified (CIMA / ACCA) or close to qualification
• Experience within a finance or accounts environment, ideally with exposure to management accounting
• Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
• Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems (ERP exposure desirable)
• The ability to communicate clearly with both finance and non‑finance stakeholders
• A collaborative approach and willingness to take ownership
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
